There are about 400 common herbal formulas, many of which have similar actions, so a thorough assessment is key to choosing the best formula for you.

 

Unlike acupuncture, herbs do not act directly on acupoints -- and they can interact with prescription drugs. So even if you already have an acupuncture diagnosis, a separate assessment is still necessary to ensure the safety and efficacy of your herbal prescription.
